    Climate Data within the Eco-System Account (Opens in a new Window)

    Climate Data within the Eco-System Account provides weather station data at the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual resolution for Newfoundland. Daily values of minimum, maximum and average temperature, as well as rainfall, snowfall and total precipitation are also available. Historical data are available as point and polygon data.

    Climate Indices (Opens in a new Window)

    Climate Indices includes time series, seasonal, and annual data for a number of variables including sea & air temperature, salinity, runoff, flow, ice coverage, iceberg count, and North Atlantic Oscillation Index. Data are observed or observation-based, and are available in a variety of temporal resolutions and historical periods, depending on the variable of interest. Data are available in tabular and graphical formats.

    CLIMOD 2 (Opens in a new Window)

    CLIMOD2 (Climate Information for Management and Operational Decisions) allows for retrieval and presentation of climate data from one or more stations in the Eastern Atlantic. Historical data are available as point data. Available climate products include daily data for a month, daily degree days, calendar day summaries, and daily/normal graphs. Data could be appended in a graphical or tabular time series.

    Current and Historical Alberta Weather Station Data Viewer (Opens in a new Window)

    The Current and Historical Alberta Weather Station data Viewer is a tool which allows users to retrieve, display, graph and/or download observations from climate stations across Alberta. Variables available include precipitation, temperature, wind, soil moisture, soil temperature, Fire Weather Index, Climate Normals, and Almanac values. Single or multiple stations may be selected from an interactive map, and users may specify the time period of interest. Data is available for download in tabular and graphical formats.

    Current and Historical Weather Conditions Map for Alberta (Opens in a new Window)

    The Current and Historical Weather Conditions Map for Alberta contains an interactive display of temperature, dew point, wind speed, humidity, and radiation observed at various stations across Alberta in real time. Users can filter by location/region and date. Data is available in hourly, daily, monthly and yearly resolutions. Data is presented in mapped form only.

    Data at National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) is a large repository of datasets that describe historical cryosphere information. Datasets available include temperature, glaciers, ice sheets, permafrost, sea ice, sea moisture, and snow. Historical data are available as point and gridded data.

    Drifting buoys (Opens in a new Window)

    Drifting Buoys includes observations of sea surface temperature, air pressure, salinity, air temperature, wind, and position recorded by buoys deployed by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission’s Global Ocean Observing System. This dataset begins in 1978. Data can be downloaded as monthly files.

    Engineering Climate Data Sets (Opens in a new Window)

    Engineering Climate Datasets contain: Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) Files, the Canadian Weather Energy and Engineering Datasets (CWEEDS) and the Canadian Weather Year for Energy Calculation (CWEC) dataset. The IDF dataset contains short duration rainfall Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) statistics. Data are presented as tables and graphs for various locations across Canada. CWEEDS provides hourly and long-term weather conditions at monitoring stations across Canada with at least 10 years of records between 1998 and 2014. CWEC datasets contain 12 calculated "Typical Meteorological Months" selected from a 30 years of records, including daily global radiation, dry-bulb temperature, dew-point temperature and wind speed.
