It can be useful for impact, vulnerability and risk assessments, and for adaptation planning.

    Major River Systems in the Far North contains maps of major river systems in the Far North Region, including Albany, Winisk, Severn, Moose, Ekwana and Attawapiskat Rivers. Maps display gauging systems and show the physiography of the region, including major river systems, road networks, First Nation communities alongside ongoing stream and climate monitoring.     Forest Change adaptation tools provides information about the impacts of climate change on Canada’s forests and on how to adapt to changing climate conditions. Adaptation tools and resources for forest managers are available here. The tools and resources provided include maps, databases, web applications and synthesis reports. They are grouped under three broad systems: climate, forest and human.

    Forest Change Data Catalogue (Opens in a new Window)

    The Forest Climate Change Data Catalogue is a collection of data sets that are relevant to the Canadian forest sector under a changing climate. Created by Canadian Forest Service scientists, these data sets include static maps, raw data (both point and gridded), and interactive maps that cover all of Canada. Data themes include drought, fire, climate and tree distribution; multiple climate scenarios are projected to the year 2100. The data sets will be periodically updated as new information becomes available.

    GeoWeb Water Portal (Opens in a new Window)

    The GeoWeb Water Portal interactive map displays historical and current water quantity, quality, and climate data for stations across BC for the period of 1886 to 2018. Specific measures include temperature, precipitation, snow depth, water quality, depth to groundwater, and others. Data are available in graphical format for each monitoring station.

    IDF Curve Lookup (Opens in a new Window)

    IDF Curve Lookup is a web-based application to retrieve rainfall Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curves. Users can input their location using a coordinate format, and select return periods of 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 years. Future projections are made based on a linear trend using 2010 as a reference year. Data are available for download in tabular and graphical formats.

    Northwest Boreal Science and Management Research Tool (Opens in a new Window)

    The Northwest Boreal Science and Management Research Tool contains curated scholarly articles, datasets, state and federal resource reports, land management plans, and more. Each entry includes geographic information about the area of study, allowing users to draw a box on a map to narrow searches to information directly related to a specific region in Alaska, the Yukon, British Columbia, and Northwest Territories. This project is a collaboration among Alaska Resources Library & Information Services (ARLIS), Alaska Climate Science Center, DataBasin, and Northwest Boreal Landscape Conservation Cooperative.

    Station Hydrologic Model Output (Opens in a new Window)

    The Station Hydrologic Model Output page contains simulated streamflow data for locations throughout British Columbia. Users can select locations of interest on an interactive gridded map, or search by Station ID or name. The simulated data include daily streamflow time series for over 120 sites located in the Peace, Upper Columbia, Fraser, and Campbell River watersheds. Station data are available for download in ASCII format.
