    Climate Projection Maps and Rasters includes a collection of products that summarize baseline and projected future temperature and precipitation. Animations and maps are focused on Alaska and Canada. Historical and future data under all Representative Concentration Pathways scenarios are available as point data.

    Climate scenarios - Graphics and tables of projected climate change for Canada (Opens in a new Window)

    Graphics and tables of projected changes in climate across Canada are computed from an ensemble of multi-model output gathered as part of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5). Projections are based on the Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) scenarios. Time series data are available for projected changes in temperature, precipitation, and snow depth annually and seasonally. Maps of projected changes in temperature, precipitation, snow depth, sea ice concentration, sea ice thickness, and wind speed are available for three future time periods between 2016 and 2100.

    ClimateWNA extracts and downscales PRISM 1971-2000 monthly climate normal data and monthly solar radiation normal data (800 x 800 m) to scale-free point locations, and calculates seasonal and annual climate variables for specific locations in British Columbia based on latitude, longitude and elevation (optional). Climate normals periods of 1961 to 1990, and 1981 to 2010 are available. Climate projections are available for Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP) 4.5 and 8.5 under climate models for the 2025, 2055, and 2085 time periods. Data are appended onto a ADF files for download.

Climate projections are available for Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 under models for the 2025, 2055, and 2085 time periods. Data are spatially projected onto a map, and could be appended onto a csv file for download.

    ClimateWizard is a web based program that allows users to view historic temperature and rainfall maps for anywhere in the world, view future predictions of temperature and rainfall around the world, and view and download climate change maps. It enables technical and non-technical audiences alike to access climate change information and visualize the impacts anywhere on Earth. It allows the user to choose a geographic region and both assess how climate has changed over time and to project what future changes are predicted to occur in a given area. Historical and future data are available as gridded data.

    Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) Global Climate Model Data (Opens in a new Window)

    Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) global climate model data regridded onto a common 1x1 degree global grid are available. Global climate model data at a monthly temporal resolution are available in gridded format for several variables including mean temperature, precipitation, sea ice thickness, sea ice concentration, snow depth, and near-surface wind speed. Individual and ensemble model output are available for historical (1900-2005) and future (2006-2100) time periods. Future projections are based on the Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) scenarios.

    Current Alberta Weather Conditions Summary (Opens in a new Window)

    The Current Alberta Weather Conditions Summary contains an interactive display of precipitation, temperature, humidity, wind variables observed at various stations in Alberta in real time. This resource also contains forecasts of average weather variables for several days into the future. Variables include temperature, wind, precipitation, humidity, frost, and length of season. Data is available graphically.

    Current and projected climate data for North America (CMIP5 scenarios) (Opens in a new Window)

    AdaptWest provides modelled climate projections generated using the ClimateNA software, downscaled from the Coupled Climate Model Comparison Phase 5 (CMIP5) database. Variables include mean and extreme estimates of temperature and precipitation, growing and cooling degree days, snowfall, evapotranspiration, and drought indices. Data are available from individual models or a 15-model ensemble at a 1km resolution for North America as well as individual states and provinces to a horizon year of 2050, available for download in grid or tabular formats.
