    Climate Impacts and Outlook (Opens in a new Window)

    The Climate Impacts and Outlook resource offers a snapshot of recent weather events and anomalies, regional weather impacts on ecosystems and economic sectors, and a forecast for the coming three months displayed through static maps. Historical and future data are available as point, grid and polygon data. Regional impacts and outlooks are available from 2014 to 2017. Current conditions and forecasts of temperature, precipitation, drought, stream flow, winter weather, and ocean conditions are available.

    Coastal Erosion Data (Opens in a new Window)

    Coastal Erosion Data displays trends of coastal erosion and shoreline displacement based on specific measurement sites. Users can search for a location along the shoreline of New Brunswick using an interactive map. This will allow government, academic institutions, and consultants to have access to coastal erosion data, and raise awareness on risks of erosion.

    Ice Charts (Opens in a new Window)

    Ice Charts illustrate ice conditions at a particular moment in time. The ice information is presented using a standard international code, known as the Egg Code. Daily Ice Charts, Image Analysis charts, and Regional Ice Charts are available from the Canadian Ice Service (CIS).

    Ice Graph (Opens in a new Window)

    IceGraph 2.0 generates ice coverage bar graphs and data tables for a selected region and date range. Data are available from 1968 to present and can be compared between seasons. Specific measures include first year ice, new ice, young ice, and old ice for the current season as well as for the historical monitoring period.

    Local Environmental Observer Network (Opens in a new Window)

    Local Environmental Observer Network (LEO) is a network of local observers and topic experts who share knowledge about unusual animal, environment, and weather events. With LEO, users can connect with others in your community, share observations, raise awareness, and find answers about significant environmental events. Users can also engage with topic experts in many different organizations and become part of a broader observer community. To download data, users must register.

    NeraCoos Data (Opens in a new Window)

    NeraCoos Data contains data products and tools summarizing eastern buoy, station, and forecasts data. Historical and future data are available as point data. Climate variables include wind speed, wind gust, air temperature, water temperature at varying depths, and air temperature; they are updated from each station and users can compare stations. Forecasts of coastal flooding and erosion, and 48-hour wave and wind are also available.

    Oceanographic activities (Opens in a new Window)

    The Oceanographic Activities landing page contains links to multiple ocean monitoring programs, datasets, and portals including observations of tides, ocean currents, pH, salinity, temperature, ocean colour, and phytoplankton from various stations across Canada. Data are available for download in tabular, graphical, and other formats.

    River Watch (Opens in a new Window)

    River Watch is the information hub by the Government of New Brunswick for residents to obtain information prior to, during, and post-flood event. Flow information and 2 and 5-day flood forecasts and snow surveys are placed for the public. A searchable historical flood database is also available to document flood events in New Brunswick from 1696 to present.
