    The Arctic Portal is a comprehensive gateway to Arctic information and data on the internet, increasing information sharing and co-operation among Arctic stakeholders and granting exposure to Arctic related information and data. The interactive map allows user to select and view specific layers of climate variables, including boreholes, permafrost classification, permafrost extent, details on the active layer, sea ice extent, and historical climate. Additionally, static maps of sea ice, flora and fauna are available for download.

    Arctic Regional Climate Centre Network (Opens in a new Window)

    ArcRCC-Network delivers better climate services and products including regional long-range forecasts and strengthens the capacity to meet climate information needs in the Arctic. It is based on the WMO RCC concept with active contributions from all the Arctic Council member countries through a mutually agreed structure consisting of three sub-regional geographical nodes, namely, (i) North America Node, (ii) Northern Europe and Greenland Node and (iii) Eurasia Node.

    Arctic Science and Technology Information system (Opens in a new Window)

    The Arctic Science and Technology Information System (ASTIS) database covers all arctic science and technology subjects and contains two types of information: citations to publications and descriptions of research projects. The ASTIS subset database provides selected ASTIS records and background information for specific regions in the Arctic, subjects or projects.

    ArcticNet is a Network of Centres of Excellence of Canada that brings together scientists and managers in the natural, human health and social sciences with their partners from Inuit organizations, northern communities, federal and provincial agencies, and the private sector. Current and past research projects can be viewed.

    Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography (Argo Canada) (Opens in a new Window)

    Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography (ARGO) is a worldwide climate monitoring system providing data on ocean temperature and salinity. 400 free floating drifts were deployed worldwide from Fisheries and Oceans Canada since 2001, of which 88 are still operating. Data are available in tabular, graphical, and mapped formats.

    Atlantic Zone Monitoring Program (AZMP) (Opens in a new Window)

    Meteorological Data contains historical observations of weather, rainfall, solar radiation, monthly temperature, and dry bulb temperature. These hourly data are derived from daily or monthly files within the Meteorological Service of Canada's Historical Dataset. Data are available from 1992 onwards in tabular format.

    The Atlas of Community Based Monitoring & Indigenous Knowledge in a Changing Arctic was designed to showcase the many community-based monitoring and Indigenous Knowledge initiatives across the circumpolar region. In an interactive map, users can view ongoing projects in various locations in the Circumpolar Arctic.

    CAN/BNQ 2501-500 Geotechnical site investigations for building foundations in permafrost zones (Opens in a new Window)

    This standard establishes a consistent methodology for performing geotechnical site investigations so that the results can be used to design building foundations with due consideration, in a risk management framework, of the conditions prevailing at the building site, including: the distinctive characteristics of permafrost; and the seasonal and interannual climate conditions as well as the projected climate conditons over the service life of the building foundations.
