    Agriculture Water Demand Model (Opens in a new Window)

    The Agriculture Water Demand Model (AWDM) calculates current water requirements for agriculture using crop, soil, irrigation system type, and historical climate data, as well as future water requirements using projected climate change scenarios. The climate data layer has been developed for the entire Province of BC on 500 metre by 500 metre grid cells. The water demand results help municipalities to develop dedicated agriculture water that the Water Sustainability Act (WSA) supports. The BC Ministry of Agriculture has continued to collaborate with partners to expand the AWDM to other regions of the province, with complete coverage expected by 2021. The atlas was developed by the Université de Laval Department of Geography and Department of Geomatics Sciences, in partnership with the Ouranos Consortium and the Institut national de santé publique du Québec.

    Climate data – High resolution projections (Opens in a new Window)

    Climate data - High resolution projections contains high resolution climate change data focused on Ontario. The dataset contains the 50th percentile high resolution probabilistic projections of annual averaged temperature and precipitation over Ontario, covering the 1970s, 2030s, 2050s, and 2080s. Data are provided in partnership with the University of Regina and York University. Data are available for download in tabular and gridded formats

    Climate Impacts and Outlook (Opens in a new Window)

    The Climate Impacts and Outlook resource offers a snapshot of recent weather events and anomalies, regional weather impacts on ecosystems and economic sectors, and a forecast for the coming three months displayed through static maps. Historical and future data are available as point, grid and polygon data. Regional impacts and outlooks are available from 2014 to 2017. Current conditions and forecasts of temperature, precipitation, drought, stream flow, winter weather, and ocean conditions are available.

    Current and Historical Alberta Weather Station Data Viewer (Opens in a new Window)

    The Current and Historical Alberta Weather Station data Viewer is a tool which allows users to retrieve, display, graph and/or download observations from climate stations across Alberta. Variables available include precipitation, temperature, wind, soil moisture, soil temperature, Fire Weather Index, Climate Normals, and Almanac values. Single or multiple stations may be selected from an interactive map, and users may specify the time period of interest. Data is available for download in tabular and graphical formats.

    Farmwest (Opens in a new Window)

    Farmwest.com is a website launched in 2001 to provide weather and climate information as well as a number of decision-support tools to the agricultural sector. Farmwest is linked to 397 weather stations across Canada from federal, provincial, municipal and private weather station networks. Data includes temperature, precipitation, growing degree days, pest degree days, T-Sum calculator, and seasonal weather forecasts. Data are searchable by station and time period, and are available graphically.

    The HectaresBC browser allows visualization and analysis of geospatial gridded data. The system allows users to easily interact with and/or combine multiple datasets and quantify values for different geographical areas. The gridded datasets currently available include historical and future climate variables across BC. HectaresBC is a highly interactive tool with data outputs in various different formats. Data layers include climate normals and projected climate of the 2020s, 2050s and 2080s under Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP) 4.5 and 8.5.

    New Brunswick’s Future Climate Projections (Opens in a new Window)

    New Brunswick's Future Climate Projections contain projected change for 29 climate indices for the province over the 1980−2010 period from historical observation records and GCMs (global climate models) and climate projections for the future periods 2020, 2050 and 2080 over the 21st century under Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 2.6, 4.5, 6.0, and 8.5 scenarios.

    NS Climate Change Data (Opens in a new Window)

    NS Climate Change Data provides climate data for various regions in Nova Scotia. Each region has historical data for a 30 year baseline period (1961 – 90) and for future projections: 2020s, 2050s, and 2080s. Climate variables include cold days, cooling degree days, temperatures. Climate Change Data can be appended for download into multiple CSV formats.

    The Wildfire Management Map provides information for wildfire management for all of Saskatchewan. Data include fire weather index, daily wildfire situation maps with current fires and the number of fires to date, as well as the location of parks, reserves, and protected areas.
