  • Agroclimate Impact Reporter Map Selector (Opens in a new Window)

    The Agroclimate Impact Reporter is an interactive map showing drought characteristics and the impacts of drought conditions on agriculture in the Prairie region. Variables can be visualized at a monthly time scale between 2012 and 2017 as spatial polygons. Variables include monthly changes in drought conditions, impact of drought conditions on agricultural operations, agricultural water shortages, etc.

    Agroclimate Maps (Opens in a new Window)

    Agroclimate maps display agroclimate conditions in Canada. Available maps include both current agroclimate conditions and historic agroclimate conditions. Agroclimate variables include precipitation characteristics, temperature, and drought indices. Maps can be seen based on region and time span (from Weekly to 5 years). National, Pacific, Prairie, Central, Atlantic, and Ontario maps can be selected.

    Arctic Portal (Opens in a new Window)

    The Arctic Portal is a comprehensive gateway to Arctic information and data on the internet, increasing information sharing and co-operation among Arctic stakeholders and granting exposure to Arctic related information and data. The interactive map allows user to select and view specific layers of climate variables, including boreholes, permafrost classification, permafrost extent, details on the active layer, sea ice extent, and historical climate. Additionally, static maps of sea ice, flora and fauna are available for download.

    Arctic Regional Climate Centre Network (Opens in a new Window)

    ArcRCC-Network delivers better climate services and products including regional long-range forecasts and strengthens the capacity to meet climate information needs in the Arctic. It is based on the WMO RCC concept with active contributions from all the Arctic Council member countries through a mutually agreed structure consisting of three sub-regional geographical nodes, namely, (i) North America Node, (ii) Northern Europe and Greenland Node and (iii) Eurasia Node.

    The Atlas of Community Based Monitoring & Indigenous Knowledge in a Changing Arctic was designed to showcase the many community-based monitoring and Indigenous Knowledge initiatives across the circumpolar region. These initiatives assist with network building and identification of best practices and challenges for the field. In an interactive map, users can view ongoing projects in various locations in the Circumpolar Arctic.

    Canadian Cryospheric Information Network (Opens in a new Window)

    Canadian Cryospheric Information Network (CCIN) provides information on measuring, modeling, and understanding the relationships between the cryosphere and the Earth's climate system. It contains data visualizations of current and historical snow water equivalent, sea ice thickness, and current and historical lake ice cover. Historical and future data are available as point and gridded data.

    Canadian Drought Monitor (Opens in a new Window)

    The Canadian Drought Monitor (CDM) uses a classification system that defines severity, extent, and impacts of drought to monitor and report drought. This dataset includes a variety of information regarding the monitoring and reporting of drought. This includes current drought conditions, drought analysis, historic drought maps and data, and the Canadian Drought Monitor application. Current drought severity is shown in polygon format.

    Canadian Wildland Fire Information System (Opens in a new Window)

    Canadian Wildland Fire Information System (CWFIS) contains daily fire weather, year-round fire behavior and hot spot maps throughout the forest fire season, generally between May and September. Multiple offerings are available including an interactive map, current conditions, fire danger, weather, fire weather, fire behaviour, fire M3 hotspots, and monthly and seasonal forecasts. Historical analyses including fire weather normals and fire behaviour normals are also available. Data are available as point and polygon data.

    Climate Atlas of Canada (Opens in a new Window)

    The Climate Atlas of Canada is an interactive tool developed for users to learn about climate change in Canada. It combines climate science, mapping and storytelling. The primary source of climate model data presented in maps, charts and tables is the Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium. Statistically downscaled data was derived from 12 Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) global climate models for two emissions scenarios: Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 and 8.5. For comparative purposes, observed data are included in all time-series graphs for the period 1950-2005. The source of the observed data used in the Atlas is Natural Resources Canada.

    Climate Atlas of Canada: Find local data (Opens in a new Window)

    Find local data is a search tool that allows users to find climate data. Users can search by geographic location, municipality, and region across Canada. Data available include several climate variables, projected over 2021-2050 and 2051-2080, under two emission scenarios, and at annual or seasonal resolutions. Future data are available as point data.
