    This primer helps engineers and climate specialists collaborate more effectively in carrying out climate change vulnerability and risk assessments. It does this by explaining important differences in how practitioners from these two respective disciplines understand particular concepts, principles, and vocabulary.

    This atlas aims to inform you about the geographic vulnerability of Quebec populations to heat waves and floods. The atlas was developed by the Université de Laval Department of Geography and Department of Geomatics Sciences, in partnership with the Ouranos Consortium and the Institut national de santé publique du Québec.

    BC Station Data (Opens in a new Window)

    The BC Station Data page provides access to historical observations of weather and climate variables from across British Columbia. Locations of stations are shown on an interactive map which enables users to zoom and pan to a region of interest, learn about the stations that are located in the region, filter the displayed stations based on date, variable, observing agency, region and more. In addition to observations, station metadata that describes station location, available variables, observing agency and other basic information can be downloaded into formats that include NetCDF, CSV/ASCII, ArcGIS Shapefile, or a variety of other formats.

    CC-Bio: Maps and Data (Opens in a new Window)

    CC-Bio is a project to predict potential effects of climate change on the distribution and abundance of a large range of plant and animal species from Quebec. CC-Bio supports regional strategies of adaptation to climate change in the field of biodiversity conservation. Advanced statistical techniques are used to develop quantitative models representing the complex relationships between species distributions and environmental variables, including climate. The website modeling results for 681 species of amphibians, birds, and plants for which potential effects of climate change have been analyzed are available for view. Results for 84 tree species have not yet been made public (for these species, contact rine.perie_at_mrnf.gouv.qc.ca).

    Climate Portraits (Opens in a new Window)

    Climate Portraits contains historically observed and future modelled climate indicators for various regions of Quebec for 2041-2070 as well as 2071-2100 horizon years. Moderate and high emissions scenarios are available and indicators can be mapped, graphed, or presented in tabular form. Indicators are reported as annual and/or seasonal averages over the horizon period, and include: average, maximum and minimum daily temperature, total precipitation, freeze-thaw events, growing degree days, days over 30C, and maximum 5-day precipitation. Projected climate indicators are compared to historical observations graphically and in tabular form. Data is available for download in csv and json formats.

    Daily Gridded Meteorological Datasets (Opens in a new Window)

    Daily Gridded Meteorological Datasets are gridded meteorological forcing datasets that include observed daily station data interpolated to a useful resolution as target datasets for statistical downscaling and hydrologic modelling. Common variables include minimum and maximum temperature, and precipitation. The datasets hosted on this portal are all based on station data, but differ with respect to the selection of stations, their domains, resolution, record length and gridding methodology.

    Élaboration du portrait bioclimatique futur du Nunavik (Tome I) (Opens in a new Window)

    Élaboration du portrait bioclimatique futur du Nunavik contains a baseline climate and allows for the development of future climate scenarios in the 2050 (2040-2060) and 2080 (2076-2100) time frame. There are a total of 81 climate indicators, at annual and monthly scales. These indicators was classified into three groups: temperature, precipitation, and precipitation in solid form. The report is divided into two volumes. Volume I contains the methodological information and the main results.
