    BC Climate Explorer (Opens in a new Window)

    The BC Climate Explorer is an independent, open-source data visualization project using BC's Biogeoclimatic Ecosystem Classification (BEC) units. The goal is to help British Columbians - citizens, professionals, and public servants - to understand their changing local climates using both historical and projected future climate information. A wide range of variables is available, including temperature, precipitation, season length, frost, moisture deficit, humidity, and calculated indicators at monthly, seasonal, and annual resolutions. Data are displayed as raster data and are available for download in tabular, polygon, or raster file formats.

    Climate Atlas of Canada (Opens in a new Window)

    The Climate Atlas of Canada is an interactive tool developed for users to learn about climate change in Canada. It combines climate science, mapping and storytelling. The primary source of climate model data presented in maps, charts and tables is the Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium. Statistically downscaled data was derived from 12 Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) global climate models for two emissions scenarios: Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 and 8.5. For comparative purposes, observed data are included in all time-series graphs for the period 1950-2005. The source of the observed data used in the Atlas is Natural Resources Canada.

    Climate data – High resolution projections (Opens in a new Window)

    Climate data - High resolution projections contains high resolution climate change data focused on Ontario. The dataset contains the 50th percentile high resolution probabilistic projections of annual averaged temperature and precipitation over Ontario, covering the 1970s, 2030s, 2050s, and 2080s. Data are provided in partnership with the University of Regina and York University. Data are available for download in tabular and gridded formats

    Climate Portraits (Opens in a new Window)

    Climate Portraits contains historically observed and future modelled climate indicators for various regions of Quebec for 2041-2070 as well as 2071-2100 horizon years. Moderate and high emissions scenarios are available and indicators can be mapped, graphed, or presented in tabular form. Indicators are reported as annual and/or seasonal averages over the horizon period, and include: average, maximum and minimum daily temperature, total precipitation, freeze-thaw events, growing degree days, days over 30C, and maximum 5-day precipitation. Projected climate indicators are compared to historical observations graphically and in tabular form. Data is available for download in csv and json formats.

    HectaresBC (Opens in a new Window)

    The HectaresBC browser allows visualization and analysis of geospatial gridded data. The system allows users to easily interact with and/or combine multiple datasets and quantify values for different geographical areas. The gridded datasets currently available include historical and future climate variables across BC. HectaresBC is a highly interactive tool with data outputs in various different formats. Data layers include climate normals and projected climate of the 2020s, 2050s and 2080s under Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP) 4.5 and 8.5.

    Ontario Climate Change Data Portal (Opens in a new Window)

    The Ontario Climate Change Data Portal contains downscaled climate projections under various emissions scenarios, projected intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) curves, and daily and hourly time series data for climate change impact assessments. Data are presented in both point and grid resolution for historical and future horizons. Data are available for download as mapped and tabular formats.

    Scénarios climatiques pour l'ingénierie (in French only) (Opens in a new Window)

    The Scénarios climatiques pour l'ingénierie website is a pilot project that aims to better communicate to engineers information about climate change scenarios. The website presents fact sheets for two regions of Quebec, namely Montreal and Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, and seven climate indicators. The indicators were selected by a user committee.
