  • Monitoring Aquifers: Provincial Groundwater Observation Well Network (Opens in a new Window)

    The British Columbia Provincial Groundwater Observation Well Network (PGOWN) is comprised of groundwater level and chemistry monitoring stations which are cooperatively operated by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and the Ministry of Environment. There are around 190 monitoring stations distributed across BC. Data include historical and current groundwater level and chemistry. Data are available for download in tabular formats.

    MSC50 Wind and Wave Climate Hindcast (Opens in a new Window)

    The MSC50 Wind and Wave Climate Hindcast provides hourly wind and wave time series data from climate hindcast models. These hindcasts cover the Canadian Maritimes, North Atlantic basin, Northeast Pacific Ocean, and Arctic Ocean for the historical period 1954- 2015. Data are available in tabular and GIS formats.

    Service Info-Climat offers hourly, daily and monthly data for temperature, dew point, relative humidity, precipitation (rain, snow and total), snow on the ground, pressure and wind, annual and monthly statistics, Intensity-Duration-graphs Frequency, wind rose, frequency of exceeding daily requirements. To obtain a product, you must contact the Info-Climat service and consult the pricing.

    The Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC) HTTP data server is a direct source for raw meteorological, climate and forecast datasets. This service is aimed at specialized users with strong meteorological and IT knowledge.

    Wave Data Available On-line (Opens in a new Window)

    Wave Data Available On-line provides wave height, wave period, wind direction, wind speed, air temperature, and air pressure observations from buoys and unofficial Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC) observations for the historical period of 1970 to present. Data are available for each station/buoy in tabular and graphical format.

    Weather Conditions and Reports (Opens in a new Window)

    The Weather Conditions and Reports database contains historical climate data at various scales from across Manitoba. About 109 stations monitor air temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, wind speed/wind direction and soil temperature. In addition to regular weather and soil reports, users can access more specialized tools, including disease and crop condition reports. Data are available in tabular, mapped, and report formats.

    Weather Radar Imagery contains an interactive map of current radar tracking of precipitation across Alberta. This map allows users to visualize movement and pattern of recent snow or rainfall in a specific time period in real time. Data is presented in mapped format only.
