    The BC Water Resources Atlas is an iMapBC application with enhanced functionality to display detailed water related data, including watersheds, water quantity and quality monitoring sites, aquifers, water wells and flood protection works. This tool presents raster data for a variety of layers.

    Canadian Drought Monitor (Opens in a new Window)

    The Canadian Drought Monitor (CDM) uses a classification system that defines severity, extent, and impacts of drought to monitor and report drought. This dataset includes a variety of information regarding the monitoring and reporting of drought. This includes current drought conditions, drought analysis, historic drought maps and data, and the Canadian Drought Monitor application. Current drought severity is shown in polygon format.

    Canadian Extreme Water Level Adaptation Tool (CAN-EWLAT) (Opens in a new Window)

    Canadian Extreme Water Level Adaptation Tool (CAN-EWLAT) is a science-based planning tool for the adaptation of coastal infrastructure related to future water-level extremes and changes in wave climates. This tool allows users to locate tide gauges and small craft harbours across Canada. For each geographical location, data including vertical allowance, sea level rise, mean water level, and wave climate can be visualized and downloaded.

    Canadian Wildland Fire Information System (Opens in a new Window)

    Canadian Wildland Fire Information System (CWFIS) contains daily fire weather, year-round fire behavior and hot spot maps throughout the forest fire season, generally between May and September. Multiple offerings are available including an interactive map, current conditions, fire danger, weather, fire weather, fire behaviour, fire M3 hotspots, and monthly and seasonal forecasts. Historical analyses including fire weather normals and fire behaviour normals are also available. Data are available as point and polygon data.

    Climate Atlas of Canada (Opens in a new Window)

    The Climate Atlas of Canada is an interactive tool developed for users to learn about climate change in Canada. It combines climate science, mapping and storytelling. The primary source of climate model data presented in maps, charts and tables is the Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium. Statistically downscaled data was derived from 12 Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) global climate models for two emissions scenarios: Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 and 8.5. For comparative purposes, observed data are included in all time-series graphs for the period 1950-2005. The source of the observed data used in the Atlas is Natural Resources Canada.

    Climate indicators for BC Census Subdivisions (Opens in a new Window)

    The Climate Indicators for BC Census Subdivisions dataset contains historically observed temperature and precipitation data for specific reference points within each of BC's census subdivisions for the period of 1981 to 2010.     ClimateBC_Map is a tool that extracts and downscales PRISM 1971-2000 monthly climate normal data and monthly solar radiation normal data (800 x 800 m) to scale-free point locations, and calculates seasonal and annual climate variables for specific locations in British Columbia based on latitude, longitude and elevation (optional). Climate projections are available for Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 under models for the 2025, 2055, and 2085 time periods. Data are spatially projected onto a map, and could be appended onto a csv file for download.

    CLIMOD 2 (Opens in a new Window)

    CLIMOD2 (Climate Information for Management and Operational Decisions) allows for retrieval and presentation of climate data from one or more stations in the Eastern Atlantic. Historical data are available as point data. Available climate products include daily data for a month, daily degree days, calendar day summaries, and daily/normal graphs. Data could be appended in a graphical or tabular time series.
