This map locates the parts of the territory where coastal erosion standards, prescribed by the Quebec government, must be applied. Coastal erosion constraint zones include protection strips where various interventions must be regulated. These zones are intended to be integrated into the RCM's land use and development plan for land use planning and control, in accordance with the requirements of the Act respecting land use planning and development (A-19.1, section 5).

Coastal Erosion Data displays trends of coastal erosion and shoreline displacement based on specific measurement sites. Users can search for a location along the shoreline of New Brunswick using an interactive map. This will allow government, academic institutions, and consultants to have access to coastal erosion data, and raise awareness on risks of erosion.

Coastal Flood Inundation Mapping Project (Opens in a new Window)
The Capital Region Coastal Flood Inundation Mapping Project (PDF) provides a comprehensive picture of coastal flooding due to rising sea levels and tsunamis. The project provides enhanced coastal flood hazard information to: - Help planners and emergency managers prepare the region for coastal storm and tsunami events that may impact southern Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands. - Offer guidance to regional stakeholders to inform coastal flood policy, planning and communication efforts. - Better understand the infrastructure, ecosystems and cultural sites that may be at risk due to future sea level rise. - Identify risks to residents and infrastructure (e.g., harbours, marinas, docks) within the capital region as a result of tsunami waves and currents.

DNR Coastal Flood Risk Maps (Opens in a new Window)
DNR Coastal Flood Maps contain static coastal flood risk maps for different regions in Nova Scotia at a scale of (1: 10 000) scale. Flooding risk is derived from sea level rise and storm surge. These maps are available for download as PDFs. These maps were taken at different points of the different regions along the coastline during 2012.

Five-day Forecast (Opens in a new Window)
5 day forecasts provides 5 day flood forecasts to the public to view and use. Various data are collected and analyzed to be used in models that create forecasts for the public. Historical Water Levels at various locations in New Brunswick from 1962 to 2012 are also available.

The Change in Sea Level in BC dataset contains summary trends of sea level observations and estimates of statistical significance from four monitoring stations across BC for the time period of 1910 to 2014. Data are available for download in tabular format.

River Watch (Opens in a new Window)
River Watch is the information hub by the Government of New Brunswick for residents to obtain information prior to, during, and post-flood event. Flow information and 2 and 5-day flood forecasts and snow surveys are placed for the public. A searchable historical flood database is also available to document flood events in New Brunswick from 1696 to present.
